1970's Ovation Breadwinner Black
Your first Breadwinner sighting usually results in whiplash. After you recover-- and your brain processes the light-waves that are unlike any you've ever seen-- hopefully you're smart enough to walk over and pick one up. Like most early Ovation guitars, it is a well built machine and remains so 30+ years after leaving the factory. It still plays great and the electronics with their active preamp circuit sounds amazing. If you're a fan of early Wire records, that amazing guitar sound resides within the Breadwinner. These originally had a sort of spattery, pebble-like feel to the paint. On this one someone tried to sand it smooth with mixed results so there are scratches in the paint. You can restore it further but it's a pretty mean guitar as it is so we'd probably just rock it out and forget about it. 7.9 lbs. Neck has a medium feel measuring 1.65" wide at the nut, then tapering from .78" at the 1st fret to .85" at the 12th. Original hard case included.
