Have a baby on the way so gotta clear out some gear. For sale is a Carvin CT6C. Carvin is known for their gorgeous figured tops and this one is no exception. It's been a trusty guitar and I'm pretty bummed to see it go. Plays great and sounds great. The tung-oiled neck and jumbo frets really feel great. Having said that, I gigged with it as my main guitar for quite a few years. So it does have some minor dings here and there. As much as I care for my gear, I guess some stuff is inevitable. Don't get me wrong. It's not littered with wear. Just some occasional very minor dings from shirt buttons, etc. I tried to get a close up of anything that was bigger than a pin head.
Also, the picture with the two picks on the back of the neck is a minor gash in the neck. (The reason for the two picks on either end is so you can get an idea of how big it is without losing it in the grain. It spans between the two picks.) It's low enough on the neck that it doesn't affect playability at all for me. Specs are:
- Floyd Rose Tremolo with locking nut
- Stock Carvin pickups w/coil taps
- Sperzel locking tuners
- Mahogany body with flamed maple cap
- Tung oil finished mahogany neck (plays very smooth)
- Ebony fretboard
- Stainless steel jumbo frets
- Mother of pearl block inlays
- Black chrome hardware
- Dunlop strap locks
- Black Carvin logo (instead of stock gold. I wanted an all black and blue scheme.) Again, I take care of my gear to an annoying extent. If I wasn't playing it, it was in its case (in a smoke free home.) I did lose the plastic tip of the pickup switch at a gig. But the switch still functions normally. Overall, plays and sounds great. I am the original owner. Guitar was purchased direct from factory in 2007. It will be shipped in its original hardshell case. Also included are the case goodies/paperwork.
