This kit is a hybrid cross of the Sonar Martini released January 2014 and the Ludwig Quest Love outfit. The Mattini moniker is a nod to Matt at Westfall Drums who crafted this set.Matt Westfall, sole owner and craftsman, and has been servicing Orange County drummers for two decades. Using quality materials and modern techniques, Matt produces one-of-a-kind drums from concept to completion.Westfall Drums. Made in the USA 6-ply Birch shells with ringsInterior shells treated to an 8-layer clear gloss, water-based acrylic finishing process and hand buffed to finish.Shells outer ply wrapped in Blue Slanted Slate & Matte Light Blue.Wraps are one-of-a-kind, precision-milled and hand-fabricated in-house... All seams are butted, not overlapped, so head rests flush against bearing edges...Adhesive is applied completely around drum to prevent bubbling and reduce lifting from sun and heat exposure.Vintage-style chrome beaver tail lugs and "club date" center shell drill layout.Configuration and specs: 12 x 16" kick hand fabricated, clawless wood hoops w/ integrated riser... riser allows beater to make center contact of drum.
