Here’s the story on this instrument.  In her youth my wife played a large piano accordion, at concerts, in groups, you name it.  Then a few years ago she visited an accordion store (now closed) in a Chicago suburb, and spotted this new Stagi concertina. On an impulse she decided to buy it, hoping to learn how to play it. She found the English system intriguing, a system that provides the same note whether the bellows are pushed or pulled. She didn’t learn, did not even try. Life moves on.
The concertina was placed in her closet and frankly ignored, to my chagrin. But we are downsizing and this instrument has to go, along with her large accordion, which she no longer plays either.  But that is a different story. This instrument is in pristine, new condition.  It has not been played, other than playing the scales when first purchased.
The instrument has 56 buttons, which provide a full chromatic range along with a 57th bellows air release button.  As can be seen from the images, it has the requisite straps. The bellows are in new condition. There is no usage wear on this instrument.  As displayed on the instrument, it was made in Italy.
The sale includes a Stagi carrying case, also in pristine condition. In addition, we are including an English Concertina instruction booklet.  This handbook is a good guide to playing the English Concertina for a beginner.
The value of this type of instrument has increased in recent years. We are pricing it well below “new”, despite its new condition.  For those of you in the market for this type of quality instrument, you will be pleased with the cost savings.  Buy it, you’ll like it.
