Absolutely Stunning Vintage 1977 Ludwig 6-1/2 x 14" ACROLITE Snare Drum 10 LUGS

Open to International Bidders!! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1977 Ludwig "Acrolite" snare drum. This is a rare, un-cataloged model. These drums were originally issued for the New York City public school system and were not made for public distribution. This drum has a LudAlloy shell that measures 6-1/2" deep x 14" wide. The serial number on the Ludwig blue/olive badge is # 1305911. This drum looks terrific and it really sounds great!! The Ludalloy aluminum finished shell is absolutely free from denting or warping, and the exterior is beautifully polished and has a gorgeous, high gloss shine to it. This drum is factory equipped with 10 Ludwig " Imperial" lugs, two original steel Ludwig triple-flanged hoops, 20 original Ludwig tension rods, A Ludwig P-85 strainer and butt plate, and a Ludwig screw-style internal muffler assembly. All of the parts are chrome plated, but the lugs and hoops are showing just a few signs of surface pitting. A new clear bottom snare-side head has been installed on the bottom of this drum. Also, the original Ludwig snare wires have been properly installed on the bottom of this drum, using new Ludwig snare cord. A vintage Ludwig coated white drum head has been installed on top.
