1964 Gibson B-25, Lg1, Lg2 Acoustic guitar
Estimated price for orientation: 678 $
Category: Acoustic Guitars
Class:
Description Exact Year: 1964 String Configuration: 6 String Brand: Gibson Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Model: B25
This Gibson guitar is a 1964 based on the serial number 227248. I can't tell the difference between the three models on the title. The guitar is heavily checked and scratched due to its age. The pickguard is a generic non-original. The strap button on the end body was removed by the previous owner and had installed a 1/2 wide pickup input jack, which was later removed as well. It will make a good candidate for an easy acoustic pickup piezo as it already has the hole under the saddle for a piezo wire. The saddle has two wooden shims to make up for the previous piezo. A good players guitar with lots of natural relic characteristics and personality. One of the screws that holds the truss rod plate was also missing and has a temporary non original generic screw just to hold the plate. Ask questions if you need more info. I'm not a Profesional guitar connoisseur and my description is the best I got from the previous owner. Update on the info: I was just told that the guitar is an Lg1 since it has ladder bracing top. The action on the 6th string is 1/8" and 3/16" on the first string. No cracks or breaks on the wood I did just notice the the bridge has 1/64" 1/32" lift. You can see the paper how it can go inside about 3/8" in. See photos.
