This is a very well thought out electro acoustic guitar. The woods used on the Auden Colton Cedar Cutaway Dreadnought are of a very high standard. We got a chance to review the whole Auden range in the Glasgow shop. The whole range stood out as impressive. Compared to one of the larger brands the Auden is a serious bargain. The AAA Cedar top is the heart of this instruments warm but clear tone. Solid Indian Rosewood has been utilised for the back and sides. An African Mahogany neck is attached with Dovetail Joint. Attached to the neck of the Auden Colton Cedar Cutaway Dreadnought is an ebony fretboard. It features a dreadnought shaped body with a cutaway. Probably the most versatile shape of acoustic guitar you can buy. The cutaway gives you greater access further up the fretboard. It is equally happy with finger style and strumming. Electro Acoustic Guitar with a Schertler Lydia Preamp. Swiss company Schertler proved the machine heads and electronics for this acoustic guitar. Some of the finest acoustic guitar hardware money can buy. It adds another string to the bow of the Auden Colton Cedar Cutaway Dreadnought. The Schecter Lydia pickup is under-saddle and the controls are hidden in the sound hole. A very non obtrusive system. You aren't cutting massive holes out of the instrument.
