Up for auction is a great vintage AKG C414 EB Microphone with its original brass ring CK-12 Capsule (the brass ring CK-12 is the same model capsule found in the much more expensive Telefunken 251 and AKG C12 mics). This microphone was authenticated and serviced by top microphone technician Klaus Heyne 2 years ago. The capsule is original and in very nice shape considering its age. The exterior body has some discoloration (see pics).It sounds really stunning and is in good working order! This microphone model type has been used on countless hit records including some of your favorites, like smash hits by Freddie Mercury and Queen. (I added a pic of Freddie Mercury using this model, see pics). Other than that, the vintage CK-12 capsule in the mic is considered by many to be the "holy grail" capsule of the recording industry and this one was authenticated and cleaned by Klaus Heyne using his best process for performing such a delicate procedure.Comes with original case and microphone stand adapter (see pics).Shipping is a flat $30 anywhere in the US.
