The Strat has always been a very versatile electric guitar. This is part of the appeal. The Fender American Special in 2 Colour Sunburst is true to that. It features three single coil pickups. These are in the bridge, middle and neck positions. This guitar features a Greasebucket tone circuit. This means when you roll off the tone it takes away the highs but it doesn't boost the bass. It keeps the sound from getting muddy. The Texas Special single coil pickups are controlled with a five way switch. With this combination the American Special Stratocaster is equally at home with cleans and overdrive. Alder Body, Maple Neck, Jumbo Frets and a 9.5 Inch Radius. The Sonic Blue Fender American Special Stratocaster features Modern C shape profile. With its maple fretboard and modern 9.5 inch radius it plays great. A perfect balance with a more modern feel.
