-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_-~_--~_-~_ Up for sale today is a 1959 Fender Musicmaster. This pre-CBS piece is 100% stock/original. It’s in the Desert Sand finish with the much sought after Brazilian Rosewood slab board with clay dot inlays. It might be the cleanest pre-CBS Brazilian Slab on eBay… It’s in amazing shape! It has the 22.5" scale length and sports a thin D-shape neck profile that is very comfortable. The back of the neck has blackened and worn down the finish slightly in one area, as clearly seen in the photos. There are very minor scuffs and nicks throughout, but the body is in really great shape for it’s age, as well. This is easily the cleanest overall example of a Desert Sand-era Musicmaster currently on eBay. There are no functional issues to report besides one of the original Kluson tuning pegs being slightly stiffer than the rest of them, but it still functions fine (I recently changed the strings). She weighs in at about 6 lbs. 3 oz. It’s currently strung up with a set of Ernie Ball Pure Nickel 9-46s. It comes with the original hard-shell case. It currently has no buzzy frets and no issues, but please keep in mind that I am up in Canada, with a cold, dry climate during the winter... I suggest letting the guitar acclimatize to it’s new environment for a few days before setting it up. And with the moisture change (and especially if you decide to change string gauges), some bridge and/or truss rod adjustments may be required for optimal performance.
