What makes this guitar special: A beautifully appointed early 80’s Dove with terrific projection and a great vibe. This piece is chock full of quality accoutrements, with nicely stenciled artistry on the pickguard, a pearl inlaid bridge, and a dark ebony fingerboard tastefully inlaid with split mother-of-pearl trapezoids all the way down the length of the neck. It’s been professionally setup by our in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case.Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age with various surface scratches throughout, as well as a handful of scuffs, nicks, dings, dents, and chips. Original frets show some wear but still have a lot of life left in them, and there is some typical flattening of the clear coat in a few places. Saddle is pretty well worn down and action sits just a touch high at the 12th fret but is still comfortable to play.  Body: Solid mahogany back/sides and solid spruce top in sunburst finish with ivoroid binding. Pearl inlaid ebony bridge with pearl inlaid ebony bridge pins. Dove stenciled dark tortoise pickguard and multi ring ivoroid/black rosette. Lower bout width measures 16”, with 5” depth. Upper bout width measures 12” with 4” depth.Weight: 5 lb, 0.4 ozNeck: Medium profile C-shaped mahogany neck with black side dots and mother-of-pearl split trapezoid/dual trapezoid inlays. Double bound ebony fingerboard is in terrific shape with no wear. Original frets show some wear but still have plenty of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width. 24 3/4" scale length. Black headstock overlay with pearl Gibson logo and crown. Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. Action is a touch on the high side at the 12th fret, but still fully playable and comfortable up and down the length of the fingerboard. Neck is straight and truss rod is functioning.Case: Period correct Epiphone hard shell case.
