Here we have a very rare Brazilian rosewood Gibson SJ-200 built in 2000. Gibson ceased its use of Brazilian rosewood in 2003, making these pieces a true rarity in the collector's market. This particular set of Brazilian rosewood is spectacular! It's a gorgeous set of wood. The guitar also features a Sitka spruce top, Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge, and a custom engraved pickguard. As you can imagine, this guitar has a phenomenal tone. My favorite wood combination on an SJ-200 is spruce/rosewood. The Brazilian variety of rosewood is very hard to find on an SJ-200. This guitar is a perfect example of why these guitars are so highly sought after. The guitar has been played lightly during its life. It has some scratches on the lower bout on one side (shown in photo). The guitar also has one small back crack (about 3-4 inches). The crack is very minimal and won't affect tone. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case. Feel free to call me with any questions: 435.406.9281
