This is a "real collectors item". A Lyon & Healy, Very Rare, Antique Vintage "C" Melody Sax, Low Pitch, Serial# 67637. I believe it may be an original due to the "Man in the Moon" brace on the neck & the unusual "bottom bow protector". Also the keys do not have any pearls, but are very smooth, some have a small amount of pitting on some finger surfaces. This sax has very exceptional great engraving. The bell also is of great quality Gold Plating. The entire sax has very good silver plating for its age, somewhere close to or before 1920's. This sax has all new pads & 7 new corks, lower stack, Professionally Serviced by a Band Instrument Repair Technician. The neck also has a new Cork. It's says "American Professional Chicago" on the front with engraving. There is one very small ding on bottom of bow.The case is good on the inside, but the external is rough. It does have a handle and back hinges and front latches work fine.It comes with a mouthpiece (no name), ligature (Buescher) and metal cap (Martin), brand new Martin neck strap and brand new La Voz med. soft reed.It has been play tested with excellent results.I sincerely believe this sax is the cleanest one around.It is being sold as, no returns, no refunds. This Sax is great for a Church Musician as you don't have to Transpose!This sax is ready to play. I'll even through in a Brand New Tiger Rag Sax Swab, so after you've finished playing, you can run the swab through it to preserve the life of the pads !I'm a Professional Saxophonist. I've just recently played this sax in church. It blows very Strong and Full, similar to a Tenor Sax.
