$400 is stated as an International charge to dissuade buyers overseas from buying the item without contacting me first regarding accurate charges to them. Thank you!Vintage 1973 (if I'm reading the tag right) El Degas Guitar
This is a Japanese copy of the late 60's Gibson ES-345, from an era when Japan was getting into a lot of trouble "copying" guitars :-)I've owned several early 70's made Japanese guitars and they live up to their reputation. If you've ever had a chance to strum an old Tama acoustic, you know what I'm talking about. This one is definitely a player. It's been loved over the years for sure. The Varitone switch/internal wiring needs some attention. It's loose/not working and will need to be pulled and either re-wired or re-set.Some people bypass it altogether as it's kind of a glorified multi-tone switch that some see useful and others don't. I'll leave that up to the buyer but it's worth mentioning it'll need a bit of TLC before it's ready to roll. This one's all original as far as I can tell, save for 1 saddle piece which is a GraphTech (will include the entire set. they are new and a $30 value)Logo on headstock is faded but there. I tried to capture that in a photo. Humbuckers are MAXON made in Japan (engraved on bottom of baseplates)Great vintage tone.I don't ship guitars with strings for obvious reasons but i can string it up if it's important to you. The tension will be relieved before shipping (loosened right up)
Shipping in North America will be $60.
International Bidders MUST message me with your location for a shipping quote BEFORE PURCHASE.Enjoy it !
