I've always loved Takamines. I love their ability to cut through a mix and their versatility on stage in a range of musical styles. Visually the guitar is a lot more understated that other recent Takamine Limited Edition models. A leaping abalone doplhin on the 12th fret is accompanied by an intricate dolphin rosette in abalone and exotic woods. However, I like this about it and find some of Takamine's recent limited editions a little too flash. The LTD-2001 has a solid rosewood back, rosewood sides and a solid spruce top. The fretboard is ebony, mounted on a mahogany neck.The Takamine Ltd 2001 is Great for finger-style, blues or songwriting, these guitars have gained in popularity as many players discover their sweet tone and superior Build. The Sound From this Guitar really Resonates and has a lovely Feel and Melodic Vibe. Only 800 of these Were Made and they are becoming hard to get a hold of, 1962, Was the Year Takamine was founded and they will only go up in value.This Takamine has great feel and tone. The neck is straight and the action is low. The tone is surprisingly full and i mean Full! .....This Beauty produces alot of sound unplugged. A really nice guitar. Condition wise, this is In Near Mint Condition with only a slight bit of play-wear to the back of the Body. Overall A gem seeing very little play-time. Today's guitar player gets amazing bang for their buck. This Takamine is a bang for the buck champ offering great workmanship at an outrageously low price.
