Some slight scuff's and missing knob caps, it's in good very operating condition. Includes overlay sheets, manual on CD and power cable. Serial Number 23131547 The Axxe is basically a budget-proof version of the popular Odyssey. With just one oscillator (compared with two in the Odyssey), the Axxe certainly has a thinner sound but it is still that uniquely angular and powerful analog ARP sound. It's not too exciting, but it is simple and straight forward. A perfect first vintage analog for any musician that will still find plenty of use among more seasoned synth players for quick analog bass lines, lead sounds and synth FX. It has no form of memory storage and external control comes via CV/Gate only. It came with a 155 page text book, overlay sheets, interface charts and a book of 50 patches.Like most ARP synths, the Axxe also underwent a makeover. The original models featured a black and gold design which looks similar to the the Odyssey II (aka 2810), with later models switching to the black and orange design with PPC pitch bend buttons. The Axxe has been used by 808 state, Jude Allen, Adrian Chase, Rick Davis, Baby Ford, Pascal Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Paddy Kingsland (BBC Radiophonic Workshop), Howard Leese (Heart) and Eat Static.This ARP Axxe 2313 synthesizer serves as a perfect lead line, or solo, instrument. It's equipped with a Proportional Pitch Control (PPC),Arp's latest innovation in performance-oriented design. With PPC, you can add expressive coloration to melody lines simply by exerting pressure on position touch sensitive area. PPC permits you to bend pitches sharp and flat, allowing you to simulate guitar string-bending techniques and enhancing the realism of voices like flute, saxophone, brass and other sounds of your own creation. The Axxe is also perfect for creating numerous bass voices, including acoustic, electric, funk and bowed bass, which are especially useful to the keyboardist who plays left hand bass. Though inexpensive, the Axxe uses the same high quality filters and oscillation used in larger models. These components are world famous for their high stability and reliability under the most demanding circumstances.
