Fine old Rudall Carte & Co piccolo circa 1870 branded: Rudall Carte & Co 20 Charing Cross London 663. This piccolo has got six solid silver block mounted keys. The headjoint has a fine crack running through the blow hole, this section is lined with tubing. There are no other cracks, no woodworm. The instrument is made in three sections from a fine quality African darkwood. The tuning slide still works fine. The overall length of the instrument is 30cms. Complete with fine quality mahogany case of the period.
