Up for auction is a Cabart A Paris Bassoon with a Polisi bocal #2 in good condition.  This also includes a  seat strap, hand crutch and a heavy duty Pro-Tec case that was purchased 2 yrs. ago.  The Pro-Tec case comes with both backpack and shoulder straps. The case also has storage for 2 bocals and plenty space for other accessories on the inside.  There is room for music storage on the outside of the case.  The Cabart A Paris Bassoon (modern heckel system) was made in the 1940’s-1950’s in Paris, France.  This bassoon has been overhauled and is in great playing condition.  This would be an excellent choice for a student starting out on the instrument and looking to improve their skills.  Due to its age, it does have some flaws in the finish from normal wear and tear.  The nickel keys are in very good shape.  This bassoon is being sold as is.  This instrument plays and sounds beautiful.  We purchased this 3 yrs ago for our son to use in his high school music classes.  In addition to playing this for school concerts, he also performed with this in a youth symphonic band, a youth philharmonic orchestra and several honor bands over the last 3 years.  He is getting ready to go to college in the fall to major in music, so we invested in a bassoon that is more appropriate for an advanced player.  (Please note, the stand in the picture is not included.)
