This is an absolutely stunning 1977 all original Ibanez Artist 2622 with an active three-band EQ in a regal Antique Violin finish. She is often referred to as the "Steve Miller" model. I am the second owner. As you can see in the photos, she is as clean as can be. There are all original parts, zero repairs, modifications or problems of any kind. She is as close to mint as a guitar that's actually ever been played is going to get. The only visible signs of use are some gold rubbed off the bridge, some marks on the bridge pickup, and a little finish chip on the end of the headstock, Oh, and a small ding in the back. There is no visible fret wear and the guitar comes with the original hard shell case. Her "Super 88" pickups have a great deal to do with these guitars are nicknamed "Gibson Les Paul Killers". They are an incredible sounding Humbucker and a solid feeling shinny creature with fantastic upper register access. I think the general design of PRS Paul Reed Smith came directly from these 1970s Artists. She was made in Japan. She has an incredible looking Antique Sunburst finish on a bound Maple arch-top, capping off a double-cut Mahogany solid body, set with a 3-piece Maple neck topped with a 22-fret bound Ebony fret board with extraordinarily special MOP mother of pearl block inlays and gold hardware. Now lets talk about the sound she has: (my own description) A: Without the three band EQ; these are some of the best humbucker pick ups ever made. They go much further in crossing the path of a les paul and a fender stratocaster. Although it still is a largely les paul sound yet it gets very crispy in each of the three positions that very much replicate a strat sound. At the end of the day these pickups do NOT need the added booster to sound strong and beautiful-they already do. B: With three band EQ: essentially this is a booster made in the light of the infamous S Hawk LTD II from the early 1970's. It acts as a booster, 3 band eq and fuzz box all at once. As a booster it has fantastic range and very much usable in any situation. Either way you use this guitar she will always please you. I promise I have an image posted of the original sales brochure so you can read the info, I am NOT including the original brochure itself because I do not have it. Free shipping in the USA lower 48.
