The Starplayer TV is a semi hollow, dual pickup, 22 fret electric guitar, featuring arched top and back, bent sides and a 647mm scale.
The distinctive arched spruce top and elegant flamed maple arched back has elevated the TV to one of the finest guitars in the world. Even being such a versatile instrument, it always retains its discreet character and enriches every type or style of music with its distinct Duesenberg sound. Dont pay import tax - watch out! - buy one that's already in the U.S. !!! Everything you have heard and read about this beautiful guitar is true. There is no finer neck, no finer vibrato arm, and no finer craftsmanship from top to bottom. It simply plays fast. The bridge pickup (proprietary Duesenberg humbucker) is a very musical Les Paul-meets-Gretsch snarl, the neck pickup (proprietary Duesenberg P-90) is a warm, round Strat-meets-335, and the middle position is an approximation of the out-of-phase "quack" position 4 on a Strat. Three distinct tones.
The vibrato is a perfect example of refined, simple elegance. Whether you are simply adding vibrato to a chord or diving deep, it comes back in tune every time, and adds depth and beauty to your sound. The semi-hollow body also adds depth and complex roundness to all the tones.Special Notes: Action is setup perfect, on the low side (no buzz) but could be changed to accommodate a different playing style. I have played many Duesy's and this one is special!As Steve Walsh said "There are some guitars that stand alone and Duesenberg is one of them."The neck is perfect, and there is virtually no buckle rash.
