A beautiful example of the great K-Line San Bernardino Closet Classic made in late 2015, this guitar is virtually new. Very little home playing time. Never seen a gig. It has features that won't be found when looking for one at a dealer. #1) The pic guard is BROWN Tortoise shell. To me, (and the builder) this is much richer looking than the red tint pickguard. #2) The frets have been dressed down a bit which provides for much better tuning than stock models offered at dealers. #3) A 'high-wind' Lollar Imperial sits in the bridge position. This gives noticeably more sustain without being harsh or changing the tone, and was the suggested choice for this wood by the folks at Lollar. #4 The neck has been custom-planed into a perfect medium 'C' profile with a depth of .082 at the first fret and .90 at the 12th. This is a 10 in. radius. The weight (under 8 lbs.) and balance are truly superb. When you put it on, you know it's worthy of the term "axe". I would never sell this instrument but for the fact that, after playing Gibsons for many years, it seems that I simply cannot play as well on a 1.650 nut width and 10 inch radius neck- even this one. If you do not have such an issue, you will love this guitar. I've played the similar Fano model and IMO it is not the equal of this guitar despite being roughly $1000 more ! In addition, K-Line's Chris Kroenline built this guitar himself. This is an excellent value all around and a smokin' guitar. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
