For sale an incredible, custom, concert ready Woodsound Alto G ocarina made by Hyunil Ko from S. Korea, with Nalbantov microphone setup I have several woodsound ocarinas and they are the very best of the best, offering the finest quality instrument with the durability and light weight of wood. Clay ocarinas shatter when dropped. Woodsound made a video on youtube where they dropped several only to pick them up and play them. In every way the Woodsound ocarina excels. They have some of the best performing subholes that can be found in a 12 hole ocarina. Moreover, the top notes are strong, clear, can be tongued firmly and require no silly 'acute bend' technique to get it to sound in tune. The tone color of this ocarina is thoroughly pure with a nice warmth you would expect from a wood instrument, though that has more to do with the maker's skill than material. The wood does make the ocarina much lighter and durable. This model ia made with Maple and Padauk. The ocarina is a one of a kind custom made piece that is designed to be used with the exceptional Nalbantov Microphone. It has a cork plug to fill in the spot where the microphone inserts allowing you to play the ocarina as a normal acoustic instrument, or you can plug in the mic and discover a world of possibilities impossible on any other ocarina. I myself am finding I don't use this often and so am offering it for sale to any amateur or professional players who want something unique.
