Vintage Stratocaster Body Manufactured January 1979. Unusual (nowadays) deep purple colour reminiscent of the era which its from.Bought this a few years ago with the intention of re-building, but never got around to it and now after a 12 String from the period instead as I have several 6 string guitars.As you can see, at some point during its life the previous owner drilled out for a humbucker....(making not too clean a job of it) - it didn't bother me as the pick-guard would cover this anyway, and it makes no difference to the guitar itself tonally or strength wise. I was going to rout it so it is the proper humbucker shape. but decided to leave it as-is for the next owner to decide. The body is otherwise in very good shape for the age with a couple of small scratches around the neck-strap pins as per the photos.
