You are bidding on a beautiful old 19th century violin in perfect undamaged playing condition.     The violin is a fine handmade masterpiece of high grade workmanship, made late in the 19th century. The bodylength is 36.0 cm, the size is a fullsize. The violin is in a rare condition, it is very well preserved, undamaged and in perfect playing condition!This violin has survived and absorbed all the history of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The superb condition was described by an appraiser  as follows:  "The arching is well considered, the egdework masterly worked out. The varnish is a rich oil varnish, wonderfully patinated and with heavy craquellation. The varnish is of a warm brown color over a yellow ground. The delicate soundholes are beautifully fluted and perfectly cut. The graceful scroll is especially beautiful! The inner work is _very_ clean, the violin has four corner blocks and is fully lined.The violin has a new setup with a fine new luthier-made bridge, a new soundpost, tailpiece and strings.
