Up for bid is a the classic MPC 2000 with MANY EXTRAS!!!!!Included items:• MPC 2000 Drum Sampler / Midi Sequencer• Power cord• Black drum pads (shown installed)• Stock grey drum pads• Boot Disk• 40 extra 3.5 floppy disks (36 blank, 4 with some sounds on them)• USB floppy disk drive (making it easy to transfer sounds from your computer to the 3.5" floppy disks)• USB emulator drive (which I have installed and have had working with the machine, you just need your own USB drive as I will be reformatting the one I was using)• USB emulator drive cd• SCSI Iomega 250 Zip drive (I have not been able to get this to work with the MPC, but have read forums of how people have had this issue but were able to fix it by adding a cd drive into the chain between the Zip drive and the MPC, although I am not sure this will fix this for you, consider this drive untested)• (2) 250MB Zip disks (untested)• (4) 100MB Zip disks (untested)• 1 Iomega SCSI cable (male to female)• 1 generic SCSI cable (male to female)• 1 Iomega Zip drive power cord• 8 outputs w/ digital in/out (installed and recognized in the mixer)• SMPTE in/out (installed) • 2 DIMM ram chips (installed) I always wanted one of these machines and had very big plans for customizing it and adding it to my studio setup, my only problem was that I owned the MPC Renaissance first and consider myself spoiled by the software. Although I love the idea of using the MPC as a standalone device, I simply find it hard to take (in my uneducated opinion of these machines) the step backwards. I also use flstudio and am still unfamiliar with how to mix my beats down with even the renaissance and the software. My lack of knowledge on this machine will make someone's studio very happy. Not to mention I simply don't understand enough about the technical things that make these coveted machines so valuable. These reasons make me feel like this machine deserves a better home than the one it currently holds in the corner of my studio collecting dust. For the history of this item, I bought it from someone here on ebay a few months ago as I have always wanted one. Over the next few months I have been slowly acquiring all of these extras and trying to do more to learn about this machine. I was simply turned off, by my being spoiled by the ease of use with other production software. Ido recall the previous owner saying that the note variation slider may need to be replaced. These go for about $10 on here depending on who you get them from. Also, the screen does have some lines (see photos). I don't know enough about how to test this machine's full capabilities, which supports my decision to sell it. I know that the 8 output option sells on here for around $180 by itself. I know that there is a lot that I don't know about this machine so if you are trying to figure out if you should purchase this machine, please ask me any questions you have and if I know I will tell you, if you are able to talk me through the process, I can try to get more specific for you. Again, I apologize for my lack of technical knowledge on this machine. I have managed to load samples and record patterns so I know that it works. The digital in/out worked but would cut in and out and or cause the unit to freeze since it appeared not to always detect it. I'm not sure if it was my cable as touching my cable would cause me to hear extreme static in my headphones. I don't have RCA to Phone adapters so I wasn't able to see if the analog in/out worked. I also didn't get to test the 8 outputs, the midi cables, or the SMPTE in/outs so I am selling the item as is and will not be accepting returns. I simply want it to be of some use and with me it is not getting it. Now simply because I have not tested these things does not mean that it renders the item useless. There are many great features here that work, and lots of extras that make up for the untested features but please don't think that I don't understand what a value my auction is offering. Again, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I have tried to divulge everything that I know about the items available for sale with this auction. Happy Bidding!!
