Very rarely used - only for classical and jazz recordings and a few vocal recodings (with pop filter). I'm the first owner and only selling because of overlapping with another microphone line I own. Usually this isn't a microphone you would sell but it is to precious for laying around. And btw.: it was always stored directly in the original box and a locker when not used in a non-smoker and pet free environment. The microphone works like new and has only very slight traces of usages on the mic body thru mounting on a stand. this 4041SP was never dropped or abused - I baby my microphones. This 4041SP was selected by my request at DPA with an average lift in the highs, it therefore sounds very natural and not extremely bright. The DPA 4041-SP is seen as one of the best microphones currently available. It is mostly used for high end recordings in classic music or jazz.It is a large diaphragm microphone and not the usual pencil mic from DPA. Its capsule technology is a sophisticated condenser technology based on 200 Volts internally - it is NOT an electret-condenser microphone. The openness and clearness has to be heard to be believed, the 4041-SP's transparency surpasses easily regular condenser microphones of the higher price range. The price for a new 4041-SP is currently 3879,-€ (inlc. VAT). The capsule, developed by Bruel&Kjaer is coming from the DPA flagship 4040, which had only a run of 100 pieces and was sold in the five digit range a piece!Because of its large 1 inch (24 mm) capsule it has the benefit to be somewhat directional in the higher mids and highs and makes it a fantastic vocal/voice and guitar recording tool. But being a real omni capsule the microphone is very prone against handling noises etc. In a way it combines qualities of a wide cardioid with a real omni - a very special quality of this high resolution microphone.German buyers get a receipt with included USt./MwSt. (VAT), EU buyers with a European VAT ID can ask me to deduct the German VAT (19%) from the auction price.
Ask for international shipping cost please, I just charge the real cost - no extra fees or other nonsense. I had to fill in some value here. Shipping only insured. No low balling offers please - this is a serious tool and only going for a fair price. I won't sell it for a cheap price.
