This is really cool. You are looking at a 1968 Fender Mustang Electric Guitar in the Dakota Red Finish. This is an All Original guitar w / Hard Shell Case. The Fender Mustang debuted in 1964 as a quality electric guitar at an affordable price. Leo’s team packed it with cool features like the offset body design, tremolo tailpiece and two pickups with phase switchable wiring. It featured a slab body that came finished in Dakota Red, Daphne Blue or Olympic White which were custom colors for other Fender models. Since this model was in the student level camp, they just called them Red, White or Blue.This Dakota Red Mustang is all original and ready to go on the road. The frets are near perfect and the neck is dead flat resulting in excellent playability. All electronics are original and have been cleaned and adjusted. The setup is perfect with proper saddle height, pickup height and neck adjustment. This vintage fender guitar comes with its original case!Built From 1964 - 1968, this Iconic guitar has become a favorite of Alternative Indie Rockers in recent years. Affordable Vintage USA Fender Guitar!Best of both worlds! Player or Collector. These 1960's Fender's do nothing but appreciate in value. You will never lose money on this guitar if you ever decide to sell it.
Our luthier did a complete setup. Brand new strings were installed. Gig ready on Arrival!Cosmetics: Good Condition. There is some wear on this guitar, due to its age. There are minor scratches, scuffs, chips and dings. Not bad considering that this is a 48 year old vintage Fender. There are several small pencil point dings on both sides of the body. Not really noticeable until you are holding the guitar in your hands. There are light strumming scratches on the pickguard. Lacquer checking on the headstock due to age. The neck is well broke in with some of the finish missing near the first five frets. The Neck feels AWESOME! Fretboard in great shape. The case has some scuffs scratches and minor tears in the tolex. The latches work, but they are a little stubborn. The orange felt interior in decent condition. Dripping with "Mojo" It is used. Not perfect. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
