You are bidding on a Foster B16D 16 track analog tape machine with 8090 remote. The pinch roller and rec/play head were replaced by Fostex service some years back. The machine saw almost no use after that, so head is still like new. The old head, which is not terribly worn, is included, as is the old pinch roller. The machine powers up great and transport is smooth. Remote works great. All tracks play. I don't have a blank 1/2" tape to confirm record. A few tracks have meter segments that light on startup, but not in input or playback. The machine is 30 IPS. It is very heavy, and will ship in the flight case pictured. One of the thumb screws for plastic head cover is a little cross threaded and difficult to screw in; does not affect function. Please ask any questions before bidding. Due to age, I guarantee the machine against being DOA. If you are in the Chicago area you are welcome to put it through its paces.
