This is a very nice 1960's Gibson White Dove acoustic guitar.  The serial number, which can easily be seen in one of the photos provided, is 843363.  According to the 2007 11th Edition Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars by Zachary R. Fjestad, this serial number means that this guitar was produced in either 1966 or 1969.  I am unable at this time to determine any further distinguishing characteristics that would further identify this guitar with either of those two years.  Unfortunately, Gibson did not place a high priority on maintaining a proper serialization system for a number of years.  As obvious from the label in the photo, this guitar was produced at Gibson's Kalamazoo plant.The photos reveal a few problems.  First, this guitar is one of the Doves that was made when the bridge was not well-braced. As a result, the photos show some damage in the area immediately in front of the bridge.  The previous owner made repairs that stabilize the bridge and prevent the damage from worsening.  At this point this damage is cosmetic in nature and no additional structural damage should occur.  The second issue is that the previous owner reset the neck.  The photos show light cracks on the body on either side of the fretboard.  Again, the neck is secured tightly to the body and these light cracks are cosmetic.  Also, the photo of the headstock shows paint chipping in the area of the Gibson logo.  Finally, a hole had been drilled in the end of the guitar near the strap button for an internal pickup that has been removed.  These are the problems with this guitar.Here's the good news - this guitar plays and sounds wonderful!  And other than the issues I have already described, this guitar looks absolutely beautiful!  There are very few - if any - scratches or nicks anywhere on this guitar other than the ones I have already described.  This guitar is NOT a wallhanger.  This guitar HAS been played, and it SHOULD be played.  The action is terrific and the intonation is perfect all the way up the fretboard on every string.  The tone is just gorgeous!  This guitar is for someone who wants an excellent quality 1960's Gibson Dove guitar without paying normal 1960's Gibson Dove prices.  It comes with its original case.  If you can live with the cosmetic issues that I have documented here, you will absolutely LOVE this guitar!I will provide additional photos upon request.NOTE:  I have just enrolled in eBay's Global Shipping Program!  So, in order to determine the shipping cost to a particular eligible country, go to the "Shipping and payments" tab on this listing.  Then, scroll down to "Change country:  " and select your country.  Then, scroll to the right and click on "Get rates".  This will give you the shipping price for your country.Thank you for looking!
