I've had many American strats over the years (as well as USA Gibsons, Rickenbackers, and solid body Taylors) and this one of the best playing guitars I've ever owned (the color just never really grew on me. If it was a different color, this would be my go-to guitar forever). It started with a Fender 2011 American Standard maple neck with Fender locking tuners, united to a Fender Classic Series 50s (MIM) body in Surf Green. This is a beautiful guitar - I'm hesitant to call much of anything "Mint" but it's very close - super clean and in excellent condition, played very little. Here are the upgrades:The pickups were upgraded to Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the neck and bridge position and a Fender Noiseless 3 in the middle position, with a push/pull volume knob to split the coils on the neck and bridge pickups. You can check out the specs online for the Duncan pickups, but they're basically hot humbuckers that fit into a normal single-coil pickup slot, so you get noise canceling with 2 thin blades with powerful coil windings that give you the incredible sustain and a fat, full sound that's needed for playing heavier rock music. Also, the middle pickup is there when you want the gentler, classic Strat tone. You can have the best of both worlds with this setup. The tremolo was upgraded to a Wilkinson by Gotoh vintage style tremolo. This is a fantastic tremelo designed for enhanced sustain and better reliability. It gives a very smooth, accurate return to pitch. Between the locking tuners and the trem, the tuning stability is the best I've ever experienced and the intonation is just perfect to my style. The stand in the pic isn't included but I'll throw in the cool hippie looking strap and a Fender gig bag. S and H is $65.00 to the continental USA, professionally packaged and insured. Thanks for checking it out!
