This is a vintage Conn 6m saxophone #284XXX in worn laquer finish manufactured in 1937 in Elkhart, Indiana USA. Most pads are midlife, with necessary replacements, and this sax is set up to very good playing adjustment. However, some players will always want a sax personally to their taste by their own technician, so buyers will need to figure that expense into the price BEFORE bidding. Normal wear, speckling, scratches, and small dents for it's age. Neck has most of it's laquer worn away and the microtuner has been soldered to the neck, no effect on the sound. VIII inscribed on the neck and the body. Rolled toneholes. This sax plays beautifully with a strong vintage edge and presence.
