Description Exact Year: 1965 Brand: Fender UPC: NA
This is an interesting old 1965 Fender Band Master...arent they all!Ok..here we go...Tube chart stamped OK...November 1965...All transformers are original...(interesting part coming up) I thought the power transformer was a replacement because the date code puts it at 1962 or 1972, while the othere are at 1965 as they should be...upon closer examination, the ink stamp code inside the chassis is also on the top of the power tranny...all the transformer wiring looks right...I checked the part number and the power tranny is the same model as used in the brown bassman from a few years earlier. For some reason, this tranny sat around a while and got thrown in this amp in 1965 at the factory..kinda cool?!?! I have more pictures if you need them..The exterior of the amp is in above average cosmetic condition...it has had a full Sprague cap job.. JnJ power tubes...Fender Groove Tube preamps and a NOS JAN phase inverter. 3 prong cable added...looks like 2 pots have been replaced as well. Obviously somebody got a little happy with the orange drops. This thing got the full road-ready overhaul. I believe the piggy backhardware on this bottom is newer replacement as well...its a little shinier than everything else..The amp functions absolutely perfectly and runs quiet...not to mention, it sounds damn good!!Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions...Johnny
