For sale is a one-off 1979 Corder 6 piece drum set. My uncle custom ordered this new in 1979, and it's been in use since then. Sizes are (diameter x depth): 8x8, 10x8, 12x11, 16x16, & 22x14. The snare drum is not for sale - it has already sold
All the heads are new or used, but can still be played. None need to be replaced. The finish is brushed brass, and the hardware is all chrome. The drums have been gigged and played with for 35 years, so there is some signs of aging. The brushed brass wrap has some scratches and minor rusting on it, but the chrome hardware looks really nice for its age. This kit would look incredible if you choose to rewrap it or stain the wood shell. All of the tension rods, hoops, and mounts are original besides one floor tom leg mount (which was professionally replaced with a Ludwig replacement), and one or two wingnuts. Two of the original wingnuts have cracked, but are still very usable. Besides the cosmetic wear of the kit, sonically it is incredible. Jim Corder bought out Fibes drums in the late 70's and started producing Jasper/Keller/Maple shells with the Fibes hardware, but now under his name. All of the drums have the original Fibes lugs, hoops, spurs, and t-rods. The bass drum t-rods still have the "F" for Fibes on them. They were custom, handmade drums built in Alabama and were some of the highest quality drums made in that time. All of the bearing edges on the drums are in excellent shape, the drums tune up well and sound even better. This kit is truly one if a kind with these sizes. The quality of these drums are on par with Ludwig, Pearl, Yamaha, or any other big name brand.I'm asking $800 OBO. I'm trying to get this kit out for another player kit I would like to get, so all reasonable offers will be considered! I'm flexible, let me hear what you got!The snare stand and cymbal stand does not come with the kit, but I am including the cymbal stand mount that the 8" tom is on (pic #5). CONUS shipping only. I have the shipping at $200, that is currently just an estimate for the price. I have not yet had the opportunity to package the drums and calculate the actual shipping cost. I will come back and add the correct shipping cost when I can. Local pickup is also available. I am in Fairview Park, OH, just outside of Cleveland.
