1956 FENDER MUSICMASTER GUITAR This 1956 Fender Musicmaster Guitar plays great - The body is 1956, but painted black - You can see the original paint lines and cracks beneath the black paint - Original color on these 1st year Musicmasters was "Desert Sand" or "Desert Tan" - The pickguard is not original - The pickup is from a Stratacaster - The original pickup, including the original screws and springs, is included - The original pickup needs to be rewound - The neck date (pictures included) is XA 6-56 which is the 2nd month of production - The "no name" Kluson Tuners are correct except for metal buttons instead of plastic - Some of the first Musicmasters had "Fender" on the headstock - The later ones had "Musicmaster" as well in smaller letters - Has the original non-threaded steel saddles - No bridge cover - This guitar was the first 3/4 scale Fender ever produced - The Musicmaster had a single-piece maple neck and fingerboard, with a 22.5 inch scale length and 21 frets - This guitar is in very nice shape, and would take very little work to bring the body back to "Desert Sand" - Includes the original pickup, screws and springs - comes with a hard case.
