This is a beautiful and rare vintage late 1950's or early 1960'sSupro Tosca Thunderstick dual pick-up electric guitar. The Thunderstick is a Supro guitar, this one happens to be branded Tosca. The Thunderstick is rare enough, the dual pick-up model is all but non existent. The finish is copper nitrocellulose lacquer with a subtle hint of metallic gold sparkle it's still in really good shape!
Its a short scale guitar, measuring 22 inches from nut to bridge and it has 20 frets. Works really well for slide.The dark Brazilian rosewood fretboard dates it to early 60's, because mid 60's is when the Brazilian rosewood forests were depleted and embargos caused and guitar makers switch to Indian rosewood and other options.Electronics are original and complete I guess these pickups are pretty RIPPING per the forums.This listing includes the original chipboard case which is beat up and the handle is broken, but its the original case none-the-less. And what looks to be an original strap too.
