Rare U.S. made  Strat-style "Loco-Motive" from Lindert. Most Lindert's have Tele-style bodies, the Strat-styles are much harder to find. This is a great guitar- imagine if DanElectro had decided to make premium instruments. The neck is comfy and fast, the body is light (and hollow), and the tones are delicious. From the "thumbs up" headstock to the distinctive body, this guitar attracts attention.Linderts were built in Chelan, Washington in the 1990s and were the brainchild of Charles Lindert. Along with their plastic-like, textured bodies and their grillcloth or tweed inserts, their biggest features were the unique "Thumb's Up" headstock as shown in the photo and the "Escape Velocity" neck, which was a combination of a C-shape at the lower frets that morphed into a V-shape contour that directed your hands around the neck as you went to the higher frets.  This guitar is in excellent condition except for a small crack in the finish (not the wood). See the pic with the red arrow. It's hard to see and doesn't affect the guitars sound or performance at all- just doing the full disclosure thing.Comes with non-original black tolex hardshell case.
