Description Percussion is the supporting role in Western music, but the role of the drum(Taiko)in the traditional music of Japan is very important, because there are also many entertainment to dance with drum only. This Miya-Daiko drum has been used in Kabuki, Noh, many kinds of traditional performance, festival around Japan since ancient times as same as Shime-Taiko drum.In recent years it has been used in a number of Japanese drum performance to group in combination with other instruments such as Shime-Taiko drum and Hira-Daiko also Japanese whistles, Shaku-Hachi, and Chanchiki.Please understand that this elm drum is not hollow of elm tree, a plate of elm bonded with a special adhesive and on the inside drum, we have been stuck hoops of bamboo.
