THANK YOU!!!!ITEM DESCRIPTION This Gibson ES-335 was made in the USA in 1967. It has a very cool looking Sparkling Burgundy finish. This was Gibson's version of Candy Apple Red. The finish is heavily checked and oxidized and looks great in my opinion - a true relic. But there is lots of play wear and there are numerous dings, dents, and scratches all over. Also, at one point there might have been stickers on the top because there is some unevenness to the fade of the color, but there is no residue, and we can't really tell. The finish has a sort of flay quality as if it were lightly buffed, bot there are no abbrasive marks, and it looks fine under blacklight. Someone painted the INSIDE only of the guitar black through the f-holes- we have no idea why - there is no black or any other overspray on the exterior of the guitar. Someone subsequently swacted the black paint on the inside off the orange label, and that label is no longer legible, however the serial number is intact on the back of the headstock, and that has never been tampered with. Also, the guitar is marked a second, which is common to most sparkling burgundy guitars. The guitar has changed tuners, but the other parts are original. There are no breaks or repairs. The serial number is 3904xx and it is clear on the back of the headstock. The guitar comes with a non original hard shell case.
