Fine handmade 6 string bass viol made by D W Holden 1977 labelled: D. W. Holden Mankinholes Todmorden anno domini 1977 viol No 105. This instrument is in very good condition for its age. The purfling is neatly inlaid, it is fully blocked and lined. It has a nicely flamed two piece back and ribs. The oil varnish is amber in colour and completely original. There is a small crack which has been professionally repaired at the bottom of the table. Apart from this the instrument is in very good condition, no woodworm. String length is 700mm. L.O.B 65.6cm. Overall height from the floor is 121cms. Complete with soft case.
