This is a 2016 Gibson Hummingbird Special in a very unique cherry stain! I love hand-rubbed finishes, and this one is a fine example. The guitar features flamed maple back and sides, a Sitka spruce top, and a maple neck. The woods are top quality and beautiful! The stain finish really brings out the figuring in the maple. It's a gorgeous finish. The top and the back are adorned with luxurious abalone purfling. The mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays on the fretboard, pickguard, headstock, and body are some of my favorites of all time. Ren Ferguson created this design during his tenure at Gibson, and it's one of his best. This guitar has the tone to match its looks. It has a very tight and focused sound with plenty of volume. The trebles have a crystalline quality which allow them to cut through the chords. What a guitar! This guitar is in near mint condition. It has only one light impression in the top, and is otherwise flawless. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and all case candy.
