Description
Brand: Slingerland

1950s Slingerland Radio King Snare : White Marine Pearl : 5.5 x 14 This drum features a solid shell snare, outfitted in the original White Marine Pearl wrap. The shell is in excellent condition with no signification issues. There are no cracks in the wrap, the interior is a quilted birds eye patter with no separation in the batter side reinforcement ring and just slight gaps in the resonant side ring. This was very common for these old Radio King snares however this drum has less of the separating at the reinforcement rings than many. The bearing edges are beautiful! The drum is equipped with the original 8 Beavertail lugs which have NO cracks as well as an original muffler, 3-point strainer, and butt plate. Roughly 6 of the 16 tension rods are replacements while the remaining 10 are original Radio King rods. The hoops are both Slingerland Radio King hoops with the top hoop showing the Radio King engraving. The top hoop is a bit brighter than the bottom, potentially suggesting that it might be chrome while the other is nickel. Please review the photos. Overall this is a great example of an early 1950s Slingerland Radio King! Feel free to email with any questions. Shipping quote for continental US only.International Buyers - Email me for a shipping quote before purchase.
