ORIGINAL 1956 GIBSON ES-225T, WITH BROWN HARD CASE 1950'S ES-335, 1959 GA-5 AMP

The finest example of a 60-year old Gibson ES-225T that we've come across... a 9.75 on the '10' scale... therefore, best to just call it 'near mint'. Original owner bought it with a brown hardshell case, the exact same kind that comes with late 1950's dot ES-335's (case alone is in excellent condition and worth well over a grand). Owner didn't ever learn how to play, so he literally put the guitar up for 50-years. Then, about 10-years ago the son-in-law took possession of the guitar and played it a little bit, but only used flat wound strings. So, there's almost no fret wear, and the neck is straight. The tuner buttons were crumbling, so he had a new set of plastic buttons installed on the original tuner shafts. There is also some very, very light finish checking that is even harder to distinguish.
Lastly, around 1960 the original owner reportedly went into a pawn shop and bought a slightly used 1959 Gibson GA-5 amp to go with this guitar. It is also original including transformers, pots, and original schematics. The son-in-law acquired the amp also, and said he only had a few noisy caps replaced. We are offering the entire package, guitar, case, and amp here for $3,695, shipping included, in the continental U.S. The guitar and amp plays and sounds great!
