Super rare JERMS MK I Tone Bender in 90's JMI MK I TB case. I am the original owner and I can't believe I am putting this true holy grail up for sale. For starters, this was originally a MK I built by none other than the iconic inventor of the MK I TB, Gary Hurst himself. So this was in his hands at one point(gotta love the mojo factor)...however, it was actually a MK II circuit that he built at the time(late 90's)...great sounding fuzz, but not a MK I. So, sent to Jim Roth, aka "JERMS", who sonically, visually, and construction-wise, retro slammed this back to it's proper origins, 1965. He also did the stellar gold hammerite finish on the case, which you can clearly see is quite "vein-y" and 3D in appearance. I choose to leave it unlabeled to give it an early prototype look, and those are authentic late 50's indicator knobs on there to complete the vibe. Sonically, without question or without equal, it is the BEST sounding MK I, I have ever come across from countless clones, including the venerable and Uber rare DAM 1965. The feel is where it's at and must be played to be believed/appreciated....and the TONE...let's just say when it's done right like this, you only need 2 knobs. Of course there's boatloads of gain and volume on tap, but it is perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of gating and velcro rip, and the SWEETEST sounding midrange only a MK I on this level could deliver. If you ever came across an original, it would set you back thousands more than what I'm asking, for taking a chance on whether it might be a good example or just plain horrible sounding...AND, you'd be stuck with an expensive(albeit historically relevant) relic you would never take out. Quite simply, this is the absolute closest to owning a SUPER EXCEPTIONAL sounding original, though one you can comfortably enjoy for decades, and be able to play out with for some absolute head turning fuzz grind. Don't hesitate on this very rare opportunity. Auction terms: No negative/Zero bidders Contact to be made within 24 hours of auction end, payment within 3 days. $15 shipping to the continental US, overseas to be determined at auction end. roland vox fender gibson marshall ibanez dunlop
