Vintage Ludwig Black Diamond Pearl Drum Kit - 1970's - 22/12/16Vintage Ludwig tones at a total bargain price! This Vintage Ludwig Black Diamond Pearl kit is in good condition overall, with a few cosmetic issues - mainly to do with the wrap lifting at the seams on all three drums - but nothing to affect the great sound that these drums make.Bass Drum 22" x 14" : B/O Badge, serial number has been rubbed off. Some scratches to the wrap, the worst of which is towards the bottom of the drum and hard to see when the kit is set-up.The wrap seam has separated a little and some glue residue can be seen. Chrome work is very good, original bass drum spurs and tom holder all work as they should. Some scuffs to the hoops as to be expected in a vintage drum and the resonant hoop is a little out of round, but the drum tunes up fine and sounds gorgeous.Reproduction head with 70's logo supplied.Tom-Tom 12" x 8": B/O Badge, serial number 758990. No internal damper and some pitting and corrosion to the chrome. Tom rash from rubbing against a snare drum, and a few other scratches and scuffs. A little lifting of the wrap at the seam. Original tom arm receiver box in full working order.Floor Tom 16" x 16": B/O Badge, serial number 972952. The wrap has been re-glued at the seam, and whilst now secure there is glue residue visible and slight bulges at the lugs, as shown in the photos. Replacement floor tom legs. Drilled for two internal dampers but only the top damper is present, and works fine. A fair bit of corrosion to the hoops and pitting to the chrome. Heads are quite a tight fit but the drum tunes up fine.Gibraltar floor tom legs supplied.Despite these cosmetic issues this is a killer kit at a bargain price. It looks fantastic and the sound is classic pure Ludwig!
