2014 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Reissue
Ice Tea GlossI bought this new through eBay November 2016.  It's in new un-played condition, since I rarely had a chance to take it out the case.  The neck has a really nice feel, not huge but definitely an R8.  The bends are really easy on this one, I guess because of the neck.  Playing bar chords is easy as well with the medium jumbo frets.  A very comfortable guitar overall, weighing 8 lbs 13 oz.  The custom bucker pickups are really nice, with a lot of clarity and sustain (sustain maybe increased by the neck). This has a nice light flame as well, that sits over some circular plain top looking swirls. The rosewood fretboard is really nice on this one, with multiple long, light and dark streaks extending all the way up the neck. Here is the description from the place that sold it to me:There have been many great guitars throughout Gibson's long and storied history as a maker of musical instruments, but only one remains the definitive pinnacle of electric solid body guitar design. That guitar is the Les Paul Standard of the late 50's. Coveted by both players and collectors as the ultimate example of playability, attractiveness and tone, the iconic late 50's Les Paul Standard simply has no equal. This guitar has become the Holy Grail of guitars in the minds of professionals and collectors the world over. Burst slingers like Michael Bloomfield, Gary Rossington, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page, Peter Green and Duane Allman, have known all along, the '58 Les Paul is the Holy Grail of guitars. The '58 was the first Burst with two humbucking pickups! It's all about the wood, the tone and the magic!Gibson Custom's Historic Reissue series is an ongoing quest to recapture the craft and performance of their original guitars and the 2014's are the latest and the greatest ever! These are the guitars that we've all been waiting for and now that they are here, we are really excited to report they were worth the wait.

T
his 2014 Gibson Custom 1958 Les Paul Reissue is finished in a beautiful Ice Tea that makes me thirsty just looking at it. It's beautiful and has a very unique flitch matched flame maple top withIt's beautiful and has a very unique flitch matched flame maple top with lots of flecking. This guitar is perfect and polished to a high gloss, just like they did it back in 1958. It's like going back in time and bringing home a treasured original, still shiny and new! This guitar is extremely resonant and light, weighing 8 lbs. 13 oz. The neck is nice and fat but very comfortable measuring .940 at the first fret and 1.030 at the 12th. The TONE is AWESOME, warm and FAT with a HUGE midrange HONK and sweet treble! The frets are nice and large, for wider bends and the guitar has a huge presence with incredible sustain. Everything a Les Paul ought to be...soulful, powerful and strong!
