Beautiful red colored 16 1/2 inch viola made by Ernst Heinrich Roth in 1976.  Label indicates it is a Stradivarius copy, 1700.   Two-piece back with flamed maple.  Also, beautifully flamed maple sides as well.  The varnish is nicked/scratched in several places on the top of the instrument, but nothing too substantial.I purchased this viola in 2015 and at that time, it was not set up.  So, as of March, 2015, the viola had: new soundpost, new bridge, new strings, new tailpiece and new chinrest.  See photo # 10 for the receipt on these items.I have played this viola exclusively for about the last year in a local orchestra, so it has been played recently.  I have enjoyed its tone immensely -- I am simply selling because I need the money.  This viola is quite easy to play in all positions, and that has made it one of my favorite violas.
A bow will not be included but I will ship it in an old case.  The case is probably the original, and is thermoplastic -- those things are nearly indestructible and the case is still perfectly useable!U.S. bidders only please.  I have no way of shipping internationally.
