This is a 1960 Fender Brown Super Guitar Amplifier...Serial Number 01037Not sure where to start, so Ill start at the beginning.I picked this up not long ago, and it was a mess...It had been sitting around, unused for the past 10 years...and was the victim of some really bad tech work before that. It had 3 unoriginal transformers and the circuit itself  was intact, but had a lot of the wrong parts in it...I decided to strip it down and work from the ground up...THE CABINET: Although rough cosmetically, the cabinet is original and intact...It's missing the tube chart, but you can see a tiny remnant. It was filthy so I scrubbed it and the pinkish tolex started to reveal itself. Again, the cabinet has plenty of cosmetic blemishes, but it and the baffle board are very solid and intact...which was a pleasant surprise.THE SPEAKERS: The original Jensen P10R speakers, both dated 22014 were both shot...But they are the original speakers so I sent the off to WeberVST to be re-coned...I just installed them, and they sound exactly as you would expect them to...GREAT! They are slowly starting to break in, and by the time the amp sells, I'm sure I will have gotten them broken in for you!!THE CHASSIS: As I said earlier, it came to me with 3 non-original transformers...I pulled those out and installed a full set of correct Mercury Magnetics Iron. Unfortunately, there were some holes drilled for the incorrect output tranny, and somebody removed some metal around the power tranny hole...not good news, but not the end of the world... I removed all the subpar work from the previous tech and corrected what was done..I used Jupiter Caps, and full size Sprague Electrolytics, carbon comp resistors, etc...the good stuff...A 3 prong chord was installed, and only the necessary was done to correct the circuit...the circuit is mostly original as you can see from the pics. It has a Mullard rectifier, all preamp tubes are either original or NOS...the power tubes are both older Sylvania's..one is a short bottle and the other a tall, but they have nearly identical current draw and are "matched " in that regard...so I decided to go with them...not to mention they sound good! Both power tube sockets are now the correct "Brown" style, although obviously unoriginal...please disregard the picture that has 1 white power tube socket. The circuit itself is pretty interesting...its a hybrid of the 6G4, the 6G4A, and it has the tone stack from a Blonde Twin...after some googling, this is not unheard of, but it sure is interesting. All that to say, the amp has some "issues" but it is now rock solid in every way and ready to gig. It has that nice brown clean sound that turns to a Marshall type bark if you want to go there...the Vibrato will make you seasick...it's that cool!!All of the original parts are included, except the transformers. A non-original footswitch is included for the Vibrato..This amp reminds me of when you go to the car show and see that 1960 Corvette, with the new LT1 engine...not for everybody, but...I have, or can get you whatever additional pictures you may need. Please let me know if you have any questions.Thanks,Johnny205-223-5369
