Description Vintage 1968 Marshall JMP 50 Plexi 50w Amp These original 60s Marshall amplifiers are extremely hard to come by and were made in relatively small quantities. Their history and past players have caused these to be one of the best known, reviewed and invested in amplifiers out there. This particular 50w is unbelievably rare to find – being in brilliant original condition!The serial number, mullard capacitors & celestion speaker codes all date this to 1968! Along with these additional features:Amp model prefix changed from JTM to JMP (Jim Marshall Products)Transformer turned 90 degrees in comparison to earlier models (to reduce hum)Curved lip under the control panel (previously straight lip) Product Details Serial Number: 11225 Watts: 50 watts Valves: 2x EL34s & 3x ECC83 Transformer Codes: 784-139Speaker Codes: Matched T1221 (3 x 18GA, 1 x 13HA)Dating to July / August 1968 Voltage Selector: 110v - 250v Service History We pride ourselves on the inspection, authentication, and service of each amplifier to UK standards and regulations. We struggle to find anything worth mentioning other than the two missing logos & a few visible scuffs. However, please bear in mind this is almost 50 years old so will not be in the exact condition it left the factory. It is, however, one of the best conditioned plexi's we've had! Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description. Originality In our opinion, the important parts of this amplifier are original, with a few internal components changed. Summary Overall, this is a very rare and collectable amplifier.
