Guild CO-2 Ameican Made 6-String With Hard Shell Case    I have been playing Guild guitars since the early 70s, and believe they make some of the best acoutic guitars in the world.  When I tested this guitar, I also played a couple of other higher end acoustics just to compare the sound one after the other, and quite honestly, side by side like that there was no comparison.  If you are looking for pure acoustic tone that stands apart from the competition, then this is the guitar you are looking for. Make sure to read the reviews I have listed below before you run out and waste your cash on a Gibson or Martin. Here is what Guild says about the CO-2: An orchestra-size guitar with vintage F-30 body style, a solid red spruce top, and solid mahogany back and sides, the Guild CO-2 acoustic features the patent pending Guild® Graphite Neck Block System combined with traditional building techniques for exceptional tone, playability, and longevity. A bound ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, abalone dot inlays, and ivoroid body binding underscore the Contemporary Series' purpose: To satisfy a market seeking an alternative to high-priced acoustics, with a better price point and a more "woody" tone; also to satisfy players who want a road-worthy guitar without compromising sound and playability. The modern Guild Neck Block System is designed for more sustain and better clarity, qualities strengthened even further by a bone nut and saddle. The pure, rich tone of all solid woods will only improve with age, thanks to a thin lacquer finish that allows the wood to age naturally, while still providing the needed protection to make the Guild CO-2 guitar road-worthy. Check out these reviews comparing the CO-2 with Gibson J-45, Gibson J200, Martin D-16, Gibson SJ200, and Martin D-16R. 1.  I've owned this guitar about 6 months. I went into a big music store and tried the Gibson J-45 which costs almost twice the price of my guitar. I played the J-45 and didn't feel the tone was better than my Guild. I definately feel the Guild C0-2 has better projection. Another surprise to me was that the Guild is a better neck. 2.  This is my favorite of all my guitars, which include a Gibson J200, Martin D-16,& Guild 12-string. The CO-2 has a slightly wider ebony fingerboard which I like, as a fingerpicker. I think the quality is right at the top. It is finished perfectly, great warm tone. 3.  I also have a Gibson SJ-200, and I do believe this is a nicer guitar. The finish and workmanship are immaculate. 4.  I had been playing a Martin D-16R for some time, and then started getting into finger style. The D was a struggle to hold in my lap, and the tone wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I researched Guild and became interested, tried a comparable model at a local shop, and was hooked. What was refurbished on this guitar?
The only issue found is a small blemish on the edge of the headstock.  I have included a picture pointing to it.  Because it is so minor the refurbisher elected to leave it alone.  All that was done to the guitar was a set up.  There is also a small nick on the back of the case.  I have included a picture pointing to that also. Comes with a Guild hard shell case. Here is how much cash you will save!

FAQ, frequently asked questions
Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty. Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping. What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  All refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.FOR A LOT MORE INFORMATION WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW!
