Up for auction is a Deadman "Patternmaker" cast aluminum electric bass guitar. entirely hand made instruments, made by artists and craftsman. This model is a Paaternmaker,it is #8 it's a special "Black and Tan" finish in anodized black 356 Aluminum and natural maple wood fingerboard and body panels attached via a special dovetail joint along the body cavity,the basses are individually sand cast in aluminum in our foundry and hand finished. Cast aluminum bridge,and 303 stainless saddle pieces. The volume and tone knobs were designed by legendary Artist H.R. Giger of 'Alien' fame. The big single pickups are 43g wire with 7200 windings hand made by Lindy Fralin. The Patternmaker uses Gotoh tuning machines and medium fret wire,with switchcraft components, 250k pots and drops. The instrument weighs 11.5 lbs and comes with strap holders (not pictured). A custom case can be had for an additional $500.00.
